[CS] Up to the Depths Below

Well here we bloody are again.

Honestly, Aeronwy wasn't sure what she expected. Eridanus' broach was at the bottom of the Thames for the love of pete - why would her transportation platform be any different? 

When she finally did reassume her position as Sailor Eridanus for the first time and was warped up, the last thing she expected was to be suddenly wet. It wasn't even plunging; just one moment she was dry as a  bone, the next she was soaked to the skin and completely immersed in water. It was a bit jarring. Even for someone was terribly, unflappably British as she was. 

At least the pond she had now found herself in was cleaner then the Thames. And considerably warmer. But not where she expected to be. 

I know I'm 'the river,' but honestly! This is a pond. Eridanus scrutenized her surrondings with extreme prejeduce, still rather irritated at the situation she was in. Once her eyes adjusted to the darkness - and the glow from the stone pedistal below her faded - she spotted the surface. Not even big enough to be considered a small lake. 


Heaving an unamused sigh, which was a little weird to do underwater lets be honest, Eridanus kicked off of the pedistal and made it to the surface. Thankfully, she managed to avoid the long tendrils of seaweed (pondweed?) that surronded her, breaking through the surface and blinking in the warm light. 

"Did I accidentally swim into Narnia?" She mused, swimming to shore and weaving through the lilypads and cattails, pulling herself up on the grass. It was quite true - she had somehow stumbled into what looked like a fantasy world. It even had a fantasy-like castle! Dear me, she mused, continueing to observe the beautiful surrondings. It was too sunny to be England, that was for sure. 

Standing up, Sailor Eridanus shook some water from her arms, and wrinkled her nose at the state of her outfit. The entirety of her garment was stuck to her skin and hung heavily off of her, and there wasn't that much of it to begin with. 

"This just wont do." Sighing, she looked towards the castle. "First order of business - drying off." A curious gleem came to her eyes, smirking. "Second order...I simply must explore that castle. Goodness me, such lovely arcitexture!" 

She only hoped that no one was around to see her rather embarassing apperance right now. Or that she hauled herself from a literal pond. 

Note to self: be sure to warp back into my bathtub.

So...this has been sitting around for a few months. Fully inked and flat colored. I got distracted by seasonal tasks and other things *coughgen1coughcough* and just havent gotten around to finishing it yet...

...until blackmailed me!

I had to get 1 CS Task done by the time MSP's first round closes, or else she'd legit enter her Vampire Moon char. Who was a bad example one year. Yeeaaaaah. why is everyone is meen to me?! But, I got myself off of my ass and did it! And quite happy with the results. 

So it just HAD to be done where Eridanus' warp pad has to be in a freaking pond. I couldn't be bothered to draw all of that water detialing myself, soooo I used some stock. There'd probably be more seaweed, but I couldn't find stock that worked without it being like...a coral reef. Which this ain't. May be a fantasy-like world, but she's gotta have a normal pond. At least Arethusa didn't stick the pedistal in a swamp. Aeron would find a way to travel back in time and kill her gen1 just for that.  

Didn't do the usual gradient on her dress since it...looked really bad with the intense lighting at the bottom. So we'll just pretend. Sometimes I'm kinda sad I made her so freaking monocrhomatic, but other times...I squeal because I just love those colors so much. Especially when I made them a bit more teal to fit in with the watery background. Why is it that almost all of my tasks for her have weirdass lighting? at least she looks albino for once
