"We are both the same."
I did this in one sitting! I haven't done that in forever, man
I think this took me around 4 hours to complete, which is also kind of a record for me...considering I was tangling with a strong light source and all that!
Here we have the first, real, OFFICIAL artwork of my upcoming game, Sailor Moon: Generations. It takes place in the distant future, and is a "Neo" Senshi story of a sort. It's different from most of them though, at least I hope so once things become more clear
So here we have "Neo" Sailor Moon, who is very different from Usagi. She is very reluctant about being a Senshi, but eventually comes to grips with it. More over, she has a lot to live up to and feels constant pressure due to her standing as Sailor Moon, and often feels she doesn't live up to it.
I wanted to do a companion piece with both Usagi-Moon and Hidenka-Moon (our heroine pictured here!
), but I wasn't sure what. So I decided to take a manga image and make it kind of ghostly in the background, signifying that the spirit of the past Moon is still lingering over the present Moon. The urge to draw this just hit me like a sack of bricks pretty much right when I got up, so I had to draw it
I'm really pleased with the results, even though I haven't finished anything in ages and it came out so quickly!
Hidenka is one of 4 tan Senshi in the main group, and one of 2 with an ethnic background! I actually had no idea what her body type would be going into this, so I just kind of let it...happen. Thusly, small breasts, a really high waist and wide hips/thick thighs, giving her a pear-shaped look
The bodice the "Neo" Senshi wear is slightly Victorian with the corset and the drooping sleeves, since the setting is kind of Neo Victorian/Steam Punk-ish.
I'm probably most happy with her hair lips and face! I also love how I did her hands for once!
